1981 Olds Cutlass Supreme
One of our customers, Toby Pawlaczyk, installed this system on his 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme in his home garage. This is what he had to say about the install:
I just finished the install with my 81 Cutty supreme. I did this install laying on the ground and was able to take some decent pictures for you. Most of the install went ok. I’d say the toughest part is not having an install reference for the tail pipe hangers to drill the new holes. If you do not get these in the exact precise spot they will either hit the coil spring, control arm, or axle housing. A template is needed for those that do not have the factory mounts to keep from cussing a lot. It is by far the biggest issue of all. The rest of the install was pretty easy. I used a TA performance down pipe. The Gforce cross member was a blessing.
Because I did not have a factory mount I had to find some screws that would work for my install. The screws (Pypes) provided were the correct size but the length was not long enough.
I used the band clips to put my system together and it is in my opinion the way to go. It makes adjustment very easy and the system can be removed in the matter of minutes.
Here are some pictures and videos.
