After producing our "under-the-valance" crossmember-back system (SME10) for these E-body Mopar cars, it was obvious that many owners would want a performance system that matches up with the exhaust holes in the rear-valance. So that's what we've done.
This system is much like our "under-the-valance" crossmember-back system with it's performance enhancing X-pipe and mandrel bent tailpipes. But this new "Valance-exit" system has been designed to match up with the valance cutouts for these E-body cars. This system is designed to use our Pypes M-80 mufflers. Add a pair of optional 304 Polished Stainless Steel Tips (EVT87) for a stock look in the valance cutouts.

The Pypes Technical crew began designing a prototype of this Cat-back Exhaust system for these popular C4 Corvettes. The system they designed features a performance enhancing X-pipe, Cat-delete mid-pipes that tuck up into the driveshaft tunnel, Pypes performance mufflers and 304 polished stainless steel rectangle tips. As always each pipe in this system is mandrel bent 409 stainless steel for unbelievable exhaust flow and long-lasting durability. Also notice that it’s a manifold-back system that can also be adapted to most headers.

The Pypes Technical crew has been hard at work designing and producing this Cat-back Exhaust system for these popular Corvettes. They will feature a pair of uniquely designed mufflers that feature Pypes exclusive "Slingshot Technology". This Race Pro version will create maximum power but a only a minimal volume increase with no internal resonance. For those that want to have them hear you coming, check out the SCC50V or SCC51V Violator versions. They have a noticeable increase in volume out the back but still sound almost stock inside the car.
 These systems are fully polished 304 Stainless steel to last a lifetime. We have designed two exciting new exhaust tips specifically for this system. SCC50 comes with a wide oval dual wall tip for a unique look. SCC51 comes with dual 3.5" dual wall tips for a more traditional aftermarket look.
We also have some Dyno results that report a significant performance increase over a stock exhaust.
We got a change to run this 1999 Corvette with a Pypes C5 system on a dyno. Here are the results:
