We just became aware of a customer that modified one of our 3" X-pipes (XVA13) to create a 3" dual exhaust system for his 2000 Camaro SS.
The same modification could be made to create a 3" dual exhaust for any 1998-2002 Camaro or Firebird.
When asked about bending, this customer said, "I didn't do any bending. I used my Pacesetter Y-pipe and cut it up so I could hook to the headers. But you could pick up a 90 degree bend and a 4 foot piece of pipe and do it that a way. The Pypes X-pipe kit came with everything else I needed except the mufflers and hangers."
Here is the ground clearance the custome was able to get on his 2000 Camaro SS.
He used a pair of universal muffler hangers (HVH10) to secure his mufflers to the frame.
